Hi all It was out a week ago and is a huge download, so it is not listed as a forced update - you have to select it. Actually, it is a compilation of downloads also valid for Windows Server 2012 R2. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2919355/ You can download the full package once for later install on all your machines: http://www.microsoft.com/en-ph/download/details.aspx?id=42335 These KB's must be installed in the following order: KB2919442 KB2919355 KB2932046 KB2937592 KB2938439 KB2934018 It takes the time to install you would expect for such a download. On SSD drives it isn't bad at all. It is far from the .Net updates that can take "forever". The update works very well. I see no reason not to install it, except if you are using custom deployment images for which an issue has been reported. /gustav ________________________________________ Fra: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com <dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com> på vegne af Tydda Jon - Lonza Slough <jon.tydda at lonza.com> Sendt: 17. april 2014 09:49 Til: Discussion of Hardware and Software issues Emne: Re: [dba-Tech] Microsoft confirms it's dropping Windows 8.1 support? I got the update this week - it's nearly 1gb to download, and took a while to install... You'd know if you had it :-) Jon -----Original Message----- From: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Gary Kjos Sent: Wednesday, April 16, 2014 11:46 PM To: Discussion of Hardware and Software issues Subject: Re: [dba-Tech] Microsoft confirms it's dropping Windows 8.1 support? I've seen this same thing in a lot of places and it still seems very weird that they are even doing this. Every article has been confusing. Is the update 1 available already? My system claims to be 8.1 but no notice of Update 1 when I look at My Computer Information.
