The new Microsoft Surface Book really looks like a unique package.
It has a full touch screen and a full key board section with all the connector and drives and then it can come full apart. It would be interesting to see how well this works. I understand it uses both the Intel CPU and the NVidia's GPU as a second processor to manage the functioning when the screen is separated from the keyboard section...innovative and tricky.
The down side is that fully loaded (512GB / Intel Core i7) the system costs about $3,499.00 USD...add taxes, shipping (free in the US) and any exchange rates to that before it is sitting on your office desk. It is only 13" as well...I would like a 15", thank you.
The system of course comes with Windows 10 and a whole bunch of other goodies to sweeten the deal. It can supposedly run two applications side by side(?) Considering that most operating systems can run dozens of applications simultaneously, limited only by the RAM and CPU performance, is this some kind of maximum?
In summary, if money is not a major concern this is definitely a very nice package.
Jim
