[dba-Tech] Money apps

I'm with you on this one. I don't even let companies make periodic
transfers from my bank account - like for subscriptions. I have a debit
card through Morgan Stanley, which I got for overseas travel - no foreign
transaction fees and a favorable exchange rate - which I charge up with a
couple thousand dollars when it's low - and from which I can let
companies like Verizon charge that card. So I can't lose more than I have
in the debit card. I don't use it for anything else - using a credit card
for everything.

So I feel like I've got that firewall between my money and an
unfriendly world. My millennials use Venmo and a couple friends do as
well. I don't see the need for it.

But - and I hate to admit this - it's an age thing. I'm just not
comfortable with electronic bank transfers. Really no good reason for it. I
don't find any need for it. The credit card does it all. And I feel like
I've got control. We all indeed our illusions. :o)
