[dba-VB] Remote closing of Front Ends

Hi Guys,
Can anybody point me to code where I can close down Front Ends remotely. I
have seen this sort of code posted in the past but cannot find it.
Situation:  Running an overnight compact and repair on the BE, but falls
over because it "thinks" that somebody still has the FE open and linked to
it (in fact they don't, so I think there must still be a flag sitting
somewhere).
