Hi Shamil The goal for LightSwitch is RAD of Silverlight Line Of Business apps for simultaneous deployment as desktop and browser application as you prefer. It is not (yet) for phone development as far as I know. For Windows Phone development you currently use the development kit for Visual Studio 2010 and the associated Phone simulator. The Gadgeteer looks cool but expensive. And a little more mechanics is needed if you ask me - to make the Meccano of our time. 3D printing I saw in real life at an exhibition several years ago and was amazed. It was used to create prototypes of items for later plastic molding. Items were relatively "coarse" at that time, but I'm convinced that this technique will turn many things upside down. Just think of how laser printing replaced offset print in many areas and how video projectors have killed old days' slide projector - and currently movie projection in cinemas. The key parameter of 3D printing is, of course, the strength of the produced items. This evolves rapidly. At one point, think how you could bring a 3D printer and a bunch of printing powder to Mars, then you can produce any item locally. MS claims that Silverlight will remain a focus product but who knows? Neither Silverlight, LightSwitch, or Access for that matter, is the answer for everything, but I find LightSwitch to be much of that Access should have been.
