That is my point Jim.
Silverlight= XAML + C#
WPF = XAML + C#
ASP.Net = HTML +  ASP + JavaScript + CSS + JQuery + How many others 
you have to add in to make it look half way decent.

How about forgetting the ancient languages trying to look like the 
new, easier languages?
