[dba-VB] URL syntax for a webservice

Hi all

What is the preferred syntax for this? A trailing slash or not after the path?
For example:

    http://someapi.org/api/?key=122696&country=dk

or:

    http://someapi.org/api?key=122696&country=dk

I think the first, but in various examples I've seen the last.
