Hey, I know the job market is bad right now, but I definitely haven't
considered hoeing!
(okay, maybe I have, but I haven't been given any offers yet!)

Jim, you don't explain it -- he'll figure it out. :)

My son in law is a barber -- family tradition. He hates it and decided to do
something else. Six weeks later, after hoeing a lot of tobacco, he's
barbering again. Said barbering was a lot easier than hoeing. :)

LOL. perfect analogy. How do you explain to someone who has never been
unemployed that a job, even if it is not a perfect fit and you have to
struggle for awhile, is a GOOD thing? A lot of his classmates wish they had
a job of any kind right now. Besides, learning skills such as these can help
differentiate you from the crowd.
