The application I worked was designed like so: The call request was comprised of two tables... - The first table had only two fields, the call number and the call status. - The second table had all the other fields for the rest of the detail. In many cases there was only one record in each table related to a specific call. But another record was created if the call was not closed because it was not resolved at one time or was escalated.
