So do I, but I ran into it creating an *unbound* input form for a telemarketing survey in a previous life. And of course I solved it by using subforms on a tab page. <VBG> Charlotte Foust -----Original Message----- From: John Colby [mailto:jcolby at colbyconsulting.com] Sent: Monday, October 27, 2003 9:23 AM To: Access Developers discussion and problem solving Subject: RE: [AccessD] max number of controls Nope, never ran into it. I tend to do tabs / subforms so I wouldn't run into it in forms. John W. It's been built into Access forever. Try laying out a report complete with lines and graphics and you can run into it very quickly, since it applies to reports as well. Compact has no effect on it. The only cure is to create a new form and paste the controls onto it. The limitation still exists, but you don't have all those deleted items messing you up. It includes *every* control, including the bound labels, lines, boxes, buttons, pagebreaks, etc. Charlotte Foust -----Original Message----- From: John Colby [mailto:jcolby at colbyconsulting.com] Sent: Sunday, October 26, 2003 8:08 AM To: Access Developers discussion and problem solving Subject: RE: [AccessD] max number of controls >Access has a built in limitation of 754 controls that can be added over >the lifetime of a form Holy crap Batman, where do you find THAT? And compact doesn't clean that up eh? Sometimes I can't believe what a POS we develop in. 8-( John W.
