[AccessD] max number of controls

So do I, but I ran into it creating an *unbound* input form for a
telemarketing survey in a previous life. And of course I solved it by
using subforms on a tab page. <VBG>

Nope, never ran into it. I tend to do tabs / subforms so I wouldn't run
into it in forms.

John,

Do you honestly mean you've never run up against that limitation? It's
been built into Access forever. Try laying out a report complete with
lines and graphics and you can run into it very quickly, since it
applies to reports as well. Compact has no effect on it. The only
cure is to create a new form and paste the controls onto it. The
limitation still exists, but you don't have all those deleted items
messing you up. It includes *every* control, including the bound
labels, lines, boxes, buttons, pagebreaks, etc.

Holy crap Batman, where do you find THAT? And compact doesn't clean
that up eh?

Sometimes I can't believe what a POS we develop in. 8-(

Pedro

...it's not necessarily the number of controls currently on your form
...Access has a built in limitation of 754 controls that can be added
over the lifetime of a form ...so even if your form currently has only
20 controls on it, if you've added and deleted controls frequently over
its lifetime, you'll most likely have to recreate the form ...HTH :)
