 Indeed, It's cool to try new things... at least I think so.. :-)

Gustav,
 I liked your response, it made me laugh :-)  I looked at the other
methods and ended up with a 3rd Linked BE. I will see how this goes.
Since this "setting" table is only for cosmetic use, I choose not to
have the FE handle any of the maintenance for it. I just coded against
the missing database.

 So I will see how this goes....
