Remote Desktop is tightly integrated with Windows. All the others are layered on top of Windows. Remote Desktop is indeed much much faster in most cases and I prefer RD whenever I can make that work. That is why I prefer Hamachi VPN when I can make that work. I have hard IPs and so I can use RD over Hamachi. Hamachi also allows you to browse network shares on the remote computer and even map network shares to local drive letters if you so desire. John W.
