Some companies (Adelphia) have been known to spill this type of advice
when the end user has a hardware firewall and a software firrewall and
has trouble connecting to the net.  It's not good advise... but then
end users who have too much security and then do not know how to use
it often have more frustrations... they need to be taught how to use
it, not to disable it.
