Hi Jim Yes, we will definitely look for a replacement for the DHCP service. Maybe leave the router and fire up the DHCP server of their Windows Server. How about that? We don't use this setup much but why not if that could solve the issue at nearly zero cost. The router is not with WiFi. That is handled with a WiFi bridge. /gustav >>> accessd at shaw.ca 16-06-2009 16:29 >>> Hi Gustav: As the article(s) says it is an issue between older router equipment and Vista. I have a client who has a couple of laptops that use Vista and an older (3 years) wireless router. As soon as both of them try to connect wirelessly connection start dropping. I took the easy way out by just cabling both the offices and suggested that they may look at a new WiFi router in the future. Now only if an individual is wandering around the warehouse doing inventory do they use wireless. We have a client where Vista client laptops frequently pops off and on the wired LAN. Sometimes the new DHCP request fails and the pc stays disconnected. Later you can reestablish connection. We located this: http://en.kioskea.net/forum/affich-45038-internet-disconnects-when-2nd-user- is-on#p45086 with links to these: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928233 and as the client often use sleep mode for the laptops: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933872 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928152 The router is an older Zywall so the KB article may apply haven't check that yet - but I wonder if anyone have some other ideas? /gustav
