[dba-Tech] WordPress blog question

I've created a WP blog and added some posts to it. I cannot figure out how
to place the posts into Categories. I've already created some categories. I
have two questions:

1. I would like to move these posts into the various categories. How can I
do this? I've tried editing Published posts but cannot see there any way to
specify the desired Category.
2. When creating a new post, how can I designate its Category.
